Patrick Carney, Managing Partner

Mr. Carney is responsible for the operations and business development activities of Aquinas. A proven entrepreneur, he brings extensive background in creating and launching new ventures and developing and executing business plans in a number of industries and disciplines.

Prior to Aquinas, Mr. Carney most recently served as Director of Acquisitions at Strategic Realty Investments, and as Acquisitions Officer at Preferred Real Estate Investments. During his tenure at these firms, he completed leases and asset sales with an aggregate transaction value exceeding $80 million, and generated new acquisition opportunities in excess of 11 million square feet.

Prior to this, Mr. Carney was President & CEO of i-Open, a venture-backed, new media company providing proprietary digital signage networks, software and solutions to major retailers throughout the U.S., including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and leading national chain drug stores. Prior to i-Open, Mr. Carney was Vice President at Murray, Devine & Co., a boutique investment bank, where he performed financial modeling, valuation analyses and due diligence for complex M&A transactions. Prior to that, he was a co-founder of C.H.A. Enterprises, Inc., a women's sportswear manufacturer/wholesaler with three nationally distributed brands.

Mr. Carney received an MBA, with distinction, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Swarthmore College, where he was an All-American lacrosse player. He also played professional lacrosse for the Philadelphia Wings, and was a member of Team Ireland in the 2006 World Games. Pat lives in Wallingford, PA with his wife and three children, where he is an active volunteer with several youth organizations.
